Our client is in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Compliance Officer, in Pretoria, Gauteng.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Compliance & Inspections: Apply estate rules fairly and consistently by issuing Transgression Notices and Penalties within specified timeframes. Investigate complaints relating to non-compliance with estate rules. Ensure building sites comply with OHS standards and Estate regulations before, during, and upon completion of construction. Monitor residential landscaping projects to ensure compliance. Conduct monthly OHS inspections on HOA buildings, access gates, offices, clubhouse, and recreational/sports facilities. Oversee estate fleet vehicle management (inspections, license disks, PDPs, etc.). Administration & Reporting: Manage administration of transgression letters and penalties, ensuring correct filing and record-keeping. Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required. Attend committee meetings and present where necessary. Assist the board in reviewing and updating estate rules and enforcement procedures. Make recommendations to improve community compliance. Communication & Mediation: Act as a point of contact for residents regarding compliance matters. Educate residents on HOA rules to promote voluntary compliance. Provide professional, clear, and respectful written and verbal communication regarding infractions and procedures. Mediate disputes between homeowners related to compliance issues. Promote a culture of cooperation and community spirit. Security & Emergency Response: Perform fortnightly standby duties. Respond to serious emergencies outside normal operational hours. Report all incidents from standby shifts to the Security Manager.

Education + Experience

    Minimum Grade 12 (mandatory) Proven experience in property management, compliance, law enforcement, community associations, or similar field (mandatory). Good understanding of Health & Safety (OHS) procedures. Skills & Personal Attributes: Strong knowledge of building plans and building controls. Familiarity with hygiene requirements for ablution and food preparation areas. Assertive, proactive, and investigative mindset. Excellent organisational, administrative, and report-writing skills. Strong ethics, diligence, and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written). Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office � Outlook, Excel, Word). Team-oriented but able to work independently with minimal supervision. Positive attitude and ability to promote cooperation within the community.
