Job Description

Our client in the Logistics industry is currently looking for a Clearing Controller, in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Clearing of shipment. Transport Coordination. Invoicing and administration of shipment file. Arrange insurance cover and process claims. Provide guidance to Import Controllers and Learners. Comply with the requirements of the quality management system. Ad Hoc.

Education + Experience

    Grade 12 certificate. 2year freight forwarding related qualification at NQF level 4 or NQF level 5 or equivalent. Have 5 to 7 recent years import controlling experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry with proven track record of end-to-end process execution. To co-ordinate the freight movement of Import cargo through the international transport terms of the client�s import requirements. INCOTERMS. Knowledge of commercial, transport, carrier & depot and statutory body documents and stamps. Geographic locations. Knowledge and interpretation of rate structure. National currencies and international codes. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)� Deadline Driven. Ability to work in pressurized environment. RCG (Reporting of Conveyances and Goods) Financial Acumen. Data Quality. Team Player.
