Job Description

Drive the growth of the water metering product line by developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing high-performing teams, and securing large-scale contracts. Cultivate key industry relationships, oversee tender processes, and align cross-functional efforts to meet revenue and market expansion goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Develop and execute the sales strategy for the water metering product line, aligned with company growth objectives. Lead and manage the sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the utilities, engineering, and public sector markets. Maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partners. Oversee the preparation of bids, tenders, and proposals for large scale metering contracts. Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs and market demand. Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to adjust strategy accordingly. Provide accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis to executive leadership. Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.

Education + Experience

    Minimum 10 years of sales or Business Development experience in the utilities, water, or infrastructure sectors. Proven track record of leading teams and achieving high value B2B sales targets. Strong knowledge of smart metering systems (AMI/AMR), IoT technologies, and utility software platforms. Demonstrated experience in public procurement, tender processes, and framework agreements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and technical understanding. Willingness to travel nationally/internationally as required. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus. Experience working with water utilities or municipal water authorities. Familiarity with SaaS platforms, data analytics, or digital twin technologies in utilities. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Revenue growth and sales pipeline conversion. Expansion of customer base and contract wins. Sales team performance and development. Market penetration of smart metering solutions. Customer satisfaction and retention.
