Identify and develop group purchasing opportunities through engagement with stakeholders and market research. Manage the end to end procurement process for allocated contracts including tendering contract awards and renewals. Negotiate competitive contracts that achieve cost savings while ensuring service quality and compliance. Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant policies procedures and legal frameworks. Implement and optimise electronic procurement systems including e tender and catalogue platforms and monitor system effectiveness. Build and maintain strategic ethical relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across member institutions. Monitor supplier performance service delivery and adherence to contractual obligations resolving issues as needed. Promote standardisation and best practices in procurement across all contracted institutions. Provide timely and accurate reporting on contract performance cost savings and procurement activity to senior management and forums. Facilitate professional interaction forums with suppliers and stakeholders involved in the procurement cycle. Create economies of scale through pooling procurement needs and bulk purchasing strategies. Lead procurement strategy discussions and contribute to the development of procurement policies and frameworks. Support and manage a procurement administrator and step into other functional roles when team members are unavailable. Coordinate and manage regional procurement activities and liaise with advisory committees and user groups. Deliver procurement services that are transparent cost effective and aligned with the organisations strategic objectives. Handle procurement related queries and ensure prompt and efficient support to users and suppliers. Stay up to date with procurement technology trends and implement improvements where applicable. Travel domestically as required to meet with member institutions and suppliers.
